The pass-through roasting oven is a piece of equipment for roasting (drying) bulk products (roasting equipment) and is designed to create and ensure a continuous cycle of drying, roasting bulk products (sunflower seeds, peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, nuts, coffee beans, cereals, etc.).
The raw material (the product to be roasted or dried) is fed into the roasting oven from the hopper using a vibrating feeder. The feed is carried out using a tray, which, vibrating with a given amplitude, moves the product from the neck of the hopper into the drum of the roasting oven. The vibration amplitude of the tray (the power of the vibrating feeder) can be changed by the operator, thereby changing the speed and volume of product feed into the roasting oven.
The operation of the roasting oven is based on the principle of heating the internal space of the drum with heating elements and moving the roasted product in it. Getting into the drum, which rotates around its horizontal axis, the product moves along the auger made along the inner wall of the drum. In the center along the axis of the drum are heating elements that heat its internal space. During the movement, being in a hot environment, on the hot surfaces of the drum and under the influence of infrared radiation of the heating elements, the product is mixed and evenly roasted. Gases and volatile compounds released during roasting come out through the holes in the drum into the casing of the roasting oven, which has gas outlet holes.
The roasted (dried) product, upon reaching the edge of the drum of the roasting oven, is poured into any placed container, hopper or onto a conveyor belt. In this case, it is necessary to take into account that the product is quite hot and can create a fire hazard or damage the container (belt). In addition, the red-hot product has the property of “reaching”, i.e. continue to fry even when removed from the oven, which can lead to its burnout.
The frying oven is a pass-through oven, i.e. capable of operating in a continuous cycle, and is designed for frying (roasting) seeds and other bulk products (coffee, buckwheat, peanuts, pistachios, nuts). It can be used as part of automated lines or as an independent device for frying (drying), with a capacity of up to 70 kilograms per hour.
This frying oven is optimal for working with various types of bulk products, due to the smooth adjustment of the feed of raw materials from the hopper to the oven drum, the presence of sensors for maintaining the temperature inside the frying oven, good thermal insulation of the drum, as well as the presence of an uninterruptible power supply, which makes it possible to prevent overcooking or burning of the product.
