For safety reasons, the operator must then press the buttons (7) using both hands; this action lowers the cover (5) onto the work table (3). Once the cover (5) is lowered, the forming tools (4) shape the shoe cover according to the required contour. During the production cycle, the forming tools (4) are subjected to pulse heating, which creates the cut-and-seal seams; this is followed by a dwell period to allow both the tools and the product to cool.
