Job Description
While seated in front of the machine, the operator pulls the tubular polymer film from the roll holder (2), passing it beneath the cover (5) up to a marked position on the work table (3). For safety reasons, the operator must then press the buttons (7) using both hands; this action lowers the cover (5) onto the work table (3). Once the cover (5) is lowered, the forming tools (4) shape the shoe cover according to the required contour. During the production cycle, the forming tools (4) are subjected to pulse heating, which creates the cut-and-seal seams; this is followed by a dwell period to allow both the tools and the product to cool. Once the seams are formed and the components have cooled, the cover (5) returns to its original raised position, allowing the operator to remove the finished product and the excess material (scrap).
The process then repeats.
