Rotary walnut calibrator (4 fractions)
Rotary walnut calibrator is a unit designed to sort walnuts in shells by size. It calibrates the nut into 4 fractions: 28, 32, 36, 40 mm (these are the most common sizes of walnuts). At the customer’s request, the hole sizes can be changed.
Calibration (sorting) of walnuts is carried out before cracking the nut or before selling the walnut on the market. A calibrated nut makes it easier and simpler to adjust the nut cracker to the size of the nut and increases the percentage of whole kernel output. Calibration is especially important when processing nuts from the population. Another advantage of the calibrator is that it increases the cost of the nut in the shell.
